Can you sing? Have you been looking for a place to belong? Missing those days of singing in the school choir? Never felt brave enough to join the choir?
Here is your invitation.
This monthly event, hosted by the Community Life & Worship team, offers the opportunity to gather with others, and enjoy the process and experience of lifting our voices together.
The Sunday Night Choir is 'no strings attached'. There are no church services or Masses to rehearse for. No concerts planned or deadlines to meet. It is an evening of music, amongst other brothers & sisters who also enjoy singing. That moment, in harmony with others, can be a spiritual experience if one is open to it. Note reading skills are beneficial.
The choir is directed by Ms. Lauren Bierer, a musician who cherishes the moments of belonging to a choir or band and producing amazing music with other gifted musicians. She studied vocals at the Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide and later moved to the USA, performing in bands and directing choirs while also employed by a church as the Director of Music. She returned to Adelaide with her husband and four children and now works in ministry and event coordinating for the Archdiocese of Adelaide.
Start time is7:15pm (arrive from 7pm onwards as the car park empties from 6pm Mass at the Cathedral) in the hall next to the Cathedral in Victoria Square.
